Hello everyone, as the title says, does anyone have a spare PAL SNES CPU or from other region? I'm under the impression they're the same for all regions but thought I'd specify in case it pops up.

I have a SNES that has proved to be suffering from the apparently rarer control input / signal problem ("start" function associated with other buttons, buttons not working, etc.) that traces back to the CPU. I have borrowed a SNES to swap stuff around and do some troubleshooting, and this SNES' controller pads work perfectly, as does the controller port board and cable, so it goes all the way up to the CPU. All reports of this problem that I've found mentioned that switching CPUs solved the issue. It's a shame that the problem's not with the controller port board for example, as it would take just a resistor or two to get it working again.

As many people here have a lot of spare hardware and consoles I thought it'd be worth a shot to ask if you happen to have a spare board / parts console with a known working CPU, or at least a CPU that might give me a fighting chance. This console works perfectly and looks great, it's just this one issue that's keeping it from being operational. I did some research and apparently Ricoh made it exclusively for Nintendo, and I can't find it for sale individually.

Of course happy to pay for the CPU and shipping. I'm in the EU. As always thanks everyone for your help!
