as for running it, we do at my work. (we need all versions in case we have to pull up old drawings. we design/build nuclear power plants, part of the requirements are being able to load the drawing in the same tool that made it. crazy regulations).

i dont remember any difficulties in getting it running. it didnt have a dongle. we have dosbox images with lots of old cad software. its crazy, even old xenix machines.
we have a room of old ebay retro parts and stuff.... getting harder to keep stuff running.
