“Excel Esports is a competition where participants solve unusual game tasks in Microsoft Excel. No finance, just Microsoft Excel and logical thinking skills. Excel Esports transforms a common office tool into a dynamic sport, bringing together a global community of enthusiasts to compete, learn, and celebrate the power of Excel.”

That really doesn’t tell me anything. The closest thing I can even imagine is like a spreadsheet that tells you the odds of item drops or creature encounters.

This one lists some examples.

If it was a Microsoft Project or Microsoft Visio World Championship I would be a strong contender.

Darn it! I'm an OpenOffice master! Guess I'm not going to Vegas. 😜

I'm probably one of the few people on the planet that really dislikes MS Office products, well, modern ones anyway. So I dropped them a long time ago and only use them at work these days. I'm all about Apache OpenOffice on my personal systems, both Linux and Windows.

Still, I'm not gonna lie, if I was into this sort of thing, I bet it would be fun! 😀

Well, maybe you should. Solving those tasks with open office would certainly stun the audience. And if you win, you really would make a point that open office is the better tool ...😉

Haha. Now if only Apache did this sort of thing. 😜

I wouldn't call OpenOffice "better" by any means, I just don't like MS Office. It's a 100% personal preference. Honestly, It's probably more along the lines of everything needing accounts, DRM, and online connections to work properly. I guess I'm just too old to see the point in all the DRM. I'm a download and done kinda guy whenever that's possible.
