Hello, I was looking for some LAN games to run under DOS and Windows 3.11 with 386 (16MHz) computers.
I recently done a LAN between two 386 computers and we are playing HEARTS in local area network thanks to Win3.11 for workgroup.

May there are any other LAN DOS games we can do?

I have 386sx 16 MHz with 387 and a 386DX 25MHz
4Mb RAM, 256Kb VGA and sound blaster
DOS 5.0

Thanks!

I know of a few Windows 3.1 games.

Warpath, uses IPX. And modem/null-modem:

Solar Vengeance, uses a file on a shared drive. Little known game.
Re: Popular games that you don't much care for and why?

On DOS, Descent comes to mind. Also IPX. Or modem/null-modem.

The DOS game Megatron supports modem/null-modem play.

Many early games support null-modem/modem, I think.

The Windows 3.0 game RoboSport supports modem play, even between platforms. And network play.

Typos fixed.

Edit: Checked the list of WinG games: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/List_of_WinG_games

The Windows 3.x game "Monopoly" seems to support Internet, LAN, Modem.

Warcraft 1 may run on a 386 DX25. I run it multiplayer on a 386 DX33.

Descent on a 386 is terrible.

But you know what isn't?????? Spectre VR!*

*-specifically the older 1993 version and NOT the 1994-95 "VR/CD" version that's confusingly undocumented and often confused with the 1993 version (which also had a cd release of its own)

Other 386 potential lan games:
Hammer of the Gods
Linewars 2
RoboSport

Yesterday night we tried Warcraft, it's nice, it looks like a primordial Age of Empire. Then we installed Robosport from floppy 3,5 but we cannot found to download the manual for the code protection, Could you help to find a solution?

...then Hearts still rules for a little lan party... yesterday my friend won!
Thanks again
