Trying to install OS2 4.52 using that image from Winworld

IBM OS2 Warp 4.52 (14.089_W4) (CP 2 Refresh) (2002-04) (ISO)

OS/2 is officially supported on T42

I have a 128gb ssd on it, it runs well Win98 and XP

Now I deleted all partitions on the disk, but the setup gave me this error.

SYS732: IBMInt13.i13 found a drive greater than 8GB
OS2 is unable to operate your hard disk or d diskette drive
That system is stopped. Correct the preceding error and restart the system.

So I bypass the error by avoiding booting from CD and booting from these floppy disks https://archive.org/details/OS2Warp4.52UtilityDiskettes

Loaded the third floppy just insert the CD and give the command “CDBOOT” in the terminal that opened. Doing so starts the installer and the partition manager detects my 128GB SSD
I did the first part of the setup, creating and formatting a 1024mb partition in HPFS. At one point the setup asks me to remove the floppy and reboot
It boots from C: with the version of OS/2 on the CD, which is older than the floppies, so I get the same error as the 8GB

any help?

Adding to the above comment, you'll need to replace two files on the second boot disk ("Disk 1"): IBM1S506.ADD and OS2DASD.DMD specifically. That will allow OS/2 to access and partition "large" disk drives.

OS2DASD.DMD comes in two versions in the update package, a 16-bit version and a 32-bit version. You'll want to rename "DASD32.DMD" to "OS2DASD.DMD" and then replace the file on the floppy.

Oh, you might also need to add a line to the CONFIG.SYS file in the second boot disk ("Disk 1") to copy the new files over to the hard drive during installation.

Add the following to the end of CONFIG.SYS:

SET COPYFROMFLOPPY=1

I am now reading your responses, but in the meantime I tried simply removing the notebook from the docking station.

Everything works great, I don't even need floppies, I boot and install from CD 😅

I wonder if your docking station had an issue with Bus Mastering. That could keep the IDE driver from working properly. I've had to disable Bus Mastering (ironically on an IBM system) to get the driver to work.

You may have to add "/! BM" to the "BASEDEV=IBM1S506.ADD" line in your CONFIG.SYS.
