Want to replace the caps on my PCChips M321 386 motherboard (https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/pcchips-m321-rev.-2.x) because of fast external battery drainage (see: External and internal battery on a PCChips M321 motherboard draining very fast).

Found these two capacitors which seems to be a good match on Mouser:

  • Panasonic EEA-FC1E100H (Low Impedance)
  • Panasonic EEA-GA1E100H (General Purpose)

But don't know if Low Impedance is needed/wanted. I know for PSU's and newer motherboards they are many times needed. But does anybody knows if Low Impedance have any benefits on a 386 motherboard? Still need to de-solder one to measure it but that will have to wait till the weekend unfortunately.

For future reference: in the end I used Panasonic EEA-FC1E100H (Low Impedance) capacitors to recap the board. They work without problems. After measuring the old caps they seem to be an exact match.
