I have the same issue as in this closed thread Re: Sid Meier's Colonization but on a HP Thin Client, so updating DosBox won't do.

Does anyone maybe have a solution for the freezes. The game runs with sound and everything fine but after the intro it freezes and if you run the main game executable directly the character creation runs fine but then freezes after that.

I guess it has something to do with the Thin Client being too fast or having too much ram, but I've already tried to slow it down or hiding ram.
So I thought maybe someone else ran into the same problem and found a solution.
