I have a no-name PCI Geforce FX5200 that I flashed an incompatible BIOS with. Now, the card can neither be driven by the VBIOS or the win98 driver (at some point, it couldn't be driven by VBIOS, but could by win98). I tried going into win98 with a different graphics board and flashing the original, but the DOS version of nvflash from NVIDIA doesn't allow flashing if the card isn't the current display
Is externally reprogramming the ROM the only way? I have an XGecu T48, which supports the Pm25LD512 flash chip. But it's an 8 SOIC package, which I don't have an adapter for.
Anyone think it's possible to program in-place by soldering wires to the pads around the chip?
