For my 3rd generation Intel, I am looking for drivers around the 2012-2016 era. The latest drivers have some graphical issues and flickering with games.

The latest Intel site no longer provides these drivers. Does anybody have a source?

No sources I'm afraid, but I do have XP 32bit 6.14.10.5445 (29/9/2013) and 6.14.10.5449 (30/1/2014) which have the following Ivy Bridge devices in the inf:

%iIVBGD0% = iIVBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0162
%iIVBGM0% = iIVBM0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0166
%iIVBGD0SRV% = iIVBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_016A
%iIVBGD0GT1% = iIVBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0152
%iIVBGM0GT1% = iIVBM0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0156
%iIVBGD0SRVGT1% = iIVBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_015A

If they're of any use to you?

I need
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0152&SUBSYS_D0001458&REV_09

Probably you have the correct ones, for XP and 7

Look on Dell's support site at models from that era. They should have a bunch of older versions there.

Also, take a look here:

Thanks. The driver from 2015 didn't list my CPU or 3rd gen, but I proceeded anyways and it probably installed the driver correctly, the HW id is correct.

The graphical artifacting I saw is gone too. So that's a W. The only thing that didn't work, and still doesn't work, is the Intel Control Panel which crashes on launch

You're welcome.

What updates do you have installed on XP? The best way is to use WSUS offline. There are multiple uploads of it for XP on archive.org. the larger one if the correct one.

You might also need a newer version of .NET for the Intel control panel to work.

In this case, the problem is on Windows 7. The last time I ran the Control panel, it was complaining about missing files like "api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll". After copy pasting them from dll files looking at the oldest version available, the app just crashes.

It had happened on my older installation of Windows, and now on this installation.

Ahhh, ok.

It for certain needs specific versions of those files.

Looking it up, it sounds like you need to install:
Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015.

If it is already installed, then run repair on it.

Did again. It crashes still. Event viewer points at KERNELBASE.DLL

Use this program to look at the minidump that kernelbase created in C:\Windows\minidumps:
https://github.com/GregTheDev/MinidumpExplorer

I can't find any minidump, its empty. Just to be clear, Windows didn't crash, the GfxUi program aka the Control Panel crashed. It created an xml error in Temp folder although it doesn't say much

Ok, do you have dumps disabled? Kernelbase is what handles making the dump files.

It is in the same control panel where you name the system, set the page field, etc
Sysdm.cpl

Ok, weird that it didn't output a minidump. I would recommend uninstalling the driver and then get rid of the leftover files as well as the .dll files you manually copied over.

Reboot and then reinstall the driver from scratch.

Reinstallation was already done. This is the harder path, I can't determine what files they are

Sounds like some may be in C:\Windows\System32

Also get rid of the C:\Intel
folder

You can also look in C:\ProgramData
(Hidden)

Also try using drivercleaner to clean up any leftovers from the registry.

Well I found one of those files: The program can't start because api-ms-win-core-libraryloader-l1-2-0.dll is missing...
If I paste one of the downloaded files, it gives: The program can't start because api-ms-win-core-file-l1-2-1.dll is missing...

At this point I would honestly do a clean install of Windows and make sure not to copy / paste random files from different driver packages.

It really should just work provided everything is installed properly.

Pretty sure you have mixed incompatible versions of some dll and possibly other files.

this is actually the 3rd time having this, and the exact same 2 files. I am afraid it will come back sooner or later again. although I don't recall putting random files in System32
