Could use some insight from the community. I'm trying to play Gabriel Knight on a classic 486 machine with an Orpheus installed. I can use the Windows Sound System without issue in Daggerfall, but it isn't detected by the install/config process in Gabriel Knight. Has anyone had success with Windows Sound System detection and Orpheus in Sierra games?

Go to any Orpheus variant page in pcmidi.eu and scroll down to the "known issues" section, you will find there updated wss drivers for sierra games , these will probably fix your issue

Thanks Keropi! Worked like a charm, I had to switch my IRQ to 7 to get it work right. For some reason I get more popping with WSS than Soundblaster. I tried setting different audiosizes as was mentioned in some threads, and while reducing it helped the bopping when configured with Soundblaster setting it didn't help with WSS. Guess it's just that Sierra driver.
