Hi, I do have a Pro Audio Spectrum 16 SCSI.

I can't say for sure for the model (the motherboard have some cold join issue in the video subsystem and so I don't want to disturb it by removing the cards). It look like https://www.dosdays.co.uk/topics/images/mv_pa … 650-0044-56.jpg , but with a Zilog scsi chip, everything else seam to be in the same locations, but it have two big diode instead of a big one and a small one.

The problem is with the DOS mixer application, PAS.EXE.
According to the internet, I can adjust the different volumes with "pas *" and save preset to be loaded at boot, like PAS F5 or something like that.

But the thing is, While the pas.exe thing seam allow me to control the volumes, they are like all fused together so when I exit that mixer application, what get set is the last slider I moved, for literally everything. So there is no way to adjust different volumes to things like fm or pcm and neuter the input volumes..

And when I crank up the fm to max, and start a DOS game, the FM music is far from being maxxed out. (compared to when I use the following workaround)

I have been using a workaround since I got that card about two years ago : If I want to play dos games, Once the system is booted, I run windows 3.1 and use the pocket mixer app that came with the card, then I exit windows and launch my game. So I literally have to launch windows just to adjust the card volumes every single time.

Is there is a know issue for that? I could not find anything relevant.

I've had trouble with the PAS16 mixer due to using the wrong version of the tool for the specific card. The version that worked for me was this one: https://vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=506&menustate=0

Life? Don't talk to me about life.

THANK YOU!

That was not the pas.exe that was causing the problem.
That was the mvsound.sys. I did replace the mvsound.sys file with the one that was in the archive you linked to test and bam, it just work!
