I have been playing RoadRash since I was 3, yet never got the opportunity to play it online. People didn't have networking back then to facilitate a game.

Looking into the game in 2025, the game multiplayer is limited to TCP/IP, IPX and some other option I forgot. Is there a way to enable Internet based matchmaking, or LAN based play out of any of these options. I never played multiplayer before 2017 and that too only on Steam, hence I have no idea how any of these old technologies work

TCP is somewhat easy. you and the other person will need to connect to a VPN, then as far as the game is concerned you are both in the same room.
Someone here recently did a guide here on a VPN setup that allowed you to use your retro computer but I cant find it now.

IPX is bit more tricky, in the old days you would use software like Kali, I'm not sure what's used in this day and age.

Matchmaking will depend on if a large enough game community exists, but for most games you'll have to find someone independently.

The hardest part will be finding someone to play with
