I had one years ago. Contemplating obtaining anudda. Why? Not exactly sure. It's big. And although I have 2 smaller - HA! - contemporaneously released Zenith lts, in fact 2 Minisports (or as I affectionately refer to them as Mini-spurts), I can't see attempting to accomplish much with them. I have big hands. I'd twist my fingers up into knots typing on them.

But in 2025, is the Z-181s screen acceptable to look at? Would you attempt to stare at it for long hours writing a book? I'm serious now.

And yes I have a newish lt. It's just so boring.

That's quite the coincidence. I picked up a Z-181 yesterday! Cosmetically very nice condition and it works (just a button on the keyboard that needs sorting).

So far on the LCD I'd say it's OKish for office use. Quite the ghosting when you have scrolling text (for instance on /dir). I personally much prefer the plasma displays you find in the Compaq Portable III/386 and the IBM PS/2 P70.

The keyboard on it is fantastic, just inviting to be typed on.
