I got this Evilking Voodoo3 PCI off Evilbay a while back and have finally gotten around to testing it.

The attachment EvilKing Voodoo 3.jpg is no longer available

Point of interest with testing

-Fan is kaput .. not hard to deal with.
-No display output, I get three beeps from the PC when testing this card but no display at all.
-No apparent physical damage, scratches or missing SMD parts after cleaning with ISO.
-Cleaned the PCI edge with deoxit but no change.
-Card was tested on a Pentium II BX board which should be quite compatible with this card.

Im not a repair guy but my next step will be to boot from an AGP card and see if the Voodoo3 is detected but I'm not well versed with the tools used to check Voodoo cards or how to go about reflashing the Vbios on one.

If anyone can help out with some pointers on the tools/software Ill need to test and flash the card it would be greatly appreciated.

My hunch is the vbios is dead on this one but Im also going to throw it under a scope and check the legs on all the ICs for broken joints.

My first thought as well; reflashing the BIOS.

Nice catch, hopefully it leaves zombie mode.

I'd be suspicious of the electrolytic caps. Solved the issue with mine (AGP Voodoo 3 3000) that way. If you replace them, be sure to use low ESR caps.

Check voltage regulator first.
