I recently bought a Pocket 386:

And honestly, I kind of love it — it’s almost exactly like the PC I had as a kid back in the early '90s 😀
The keyboard feels solid, and it runs a lot of games and programs from the DOS era quite well.
The biggest downside is the lack of a 387 math coprocessor — I assume it’s not possible to add one, right?
I found there's an ISA expansion board available (also discussed here: Pocket386 ISA Expansion board orientation?):

My plan is to use it for:
- An extra CF card reader: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125683103129
- A modern Sound Blaster-compatible card: https://www.ebay.com/itm/176277001452
- A modern COM port extender (I’d prefer PS/2, but couldn’t find any): https://www.ebay.com/itm/365457604223
I’m aware this will likely double the size of the system, and I currently don’t have a proper housing (any tips here??) for the expansion — but that’s fine, I just want to make it usable.
Any thoughts on this setup? Alternative suggestions or gotchas I should know about?
Thanks a lot,
