Hi all,

I’m restoring a Windows 98 Second Edition PC (Spanish-language install), and I’m having trouble getting any USB mouse to work.

What I’ve tried:
* A passive USB (male) to PS/2 (female) adapter (the green plug)

* An active USB-to-PS/2 adapter

* A PS/2 mouse (model: WYZEMO42KQP) — no luck with that either

* Multiple corded USB mice

Win98 SE doesn’t recognize any of them. The Device Manager shows either “unknown device” under USB or nothing at all.
What I need:

* A working copy of NUSB33.EXE (unofficial USB 2.0 driver pack for Win98 SE)

* OR a driver that adds USB HID mouse support for Spanish Win98 SE

The driver must be small enough to fit on a floppy (1.44MB) — no CD or IDE on this system

⚙️ Setup notes:

System is real hardware (not a VM)

USB is enabled in BIOS

Only way to transfer files is by 3.5" floppy disk

I don’t speak Spanish, but I’m navigating with translated guides

If you can share a floppy-friendly version of NUSB33.EXE or point me to a working USB HID driver, I’d really appreciate it. Bonus points for any known-compatible USB mice or adapters.

Thanks in advance!

I found nusb33es.rar, but I don't remember if that's for 98FE or SE...

I have traveled across the universe and through the years to find Her.
Sometimes going all the way is just a start...

I'm selling some stuff!
