Hi all
I just swapped over a 5.25 floppy drive I gave the heads a clean and used a 5.25 inch cleaning disk
To help give it a good clean while the disk was in there it kept on going and I didn’t know
How to stop it so I just put the bay latch up and ejected the disk while it was still spinning
As I didn’t know how to stop it any way I tried formatting a disk after it went through
The process of formatting but then got to the end and gave a message couldn’t
Complete format I then tried again with the same disk I tried to format it
But now it says can’t format error in sector o or at least I think it said that
I’m just wondering if I damaged the drive when I ejected the cleaning
Disk while it was still spinning or if it’s the actual blank floppy disk
That’s damaged
