Hi all,

I'm trying to setup my Win98 PC(not VM) to use 3 sound cards. I have a PicoGUS to handle GUS, a Sound Blaster Pro 2 for DOS games, then a Turtle Beach 2 for Windows specific games.

I prefer to run all my games from within Win98 rather than 'exit to DOS' if possible.

I figured I'd start by installing just the Sound Blaster Pro 2 and setting that up first and going from there. The card installed fine and when I'm in 'exit to DOS' DOS mode, it works fine. However if I run the same game in Windows I get an error that the device is already in use. I can't find any application running at all that seems to indicate it would be using the SB. So I'm a bit stumped. Does anybody happen to know what the issue might be?

Here's a picture of the message that pops up when trying to run any game or audio app:

Thank you for any help at all!

Wooo! I figured it out.

Turns out I didn't need any of my driver disks or anything.

Just install card inside the PC. Start Windows, go to Control Panel -> Add New Hardware. Then detect hardware, it should find it, then install the driver and done!

I don't know how to modify my original post title, so if a mod wants to mark it as solved please go right ahead.

Hope this helps somebody in the future 😀
