I'm still running into issues with the floppy drives on my 386SX, but I'm hoping to overcome the 500MB hard drive limit using OnTrack. My plan is to set up the drive on a 486 machine with OnTrack installed, since booting from its disk is required for proper initialization.

Once everything is configured, can I transfer the hard drive back to the 386SX and expect it to work without problems? I'm aiming to use either a 1GB or 4GB drive, formatted with FAT16.

It worked at first... Until it passed the 500mb content size mark were it became kinda of unreadable.

A 386 needs something for LBA thats why I use a Promise EIDEMAXX card in mine.
All the funny stuff with Anydrive, Ontrack or EZ-Drive always had one or another draw back

Yeah.. OnTrack didn’t work for me, but EZ-Drive did. It's too bad it takes 5kb of conventional memory on my system though...

There's a driver that can relocate it, so it only eats 1k or so.

It's found in *older* ezdrive diskettes, but works with the newer versions too.

Pull it off an old version's diskette and give it a whirl.
