Hello

I have some NVidia video cards, like a PNY GeForce 5200 AGP 256 MB, that has a BIOS 'Splash' screen, see below, is any way to disable or turn that off ?

Thanks in advance

That's from the video card's rom bios executing.

You'd have to find a way to flash a hacked version of the vga rom bios for the card that skips the splash, or that paints spaces instead of letters, or something.

It's not an easy fix.

Yes and it lasts for almost five seconds or so

I do not think will be able to flash a hacked version of rom bios for this card that has no splash screen, or that puts anything besides what is already shown on the display then

Not at all, do any Geforce 5200 AGP 256 MB have no splash screen ?

With a lot of cards, it's quite easy to switch the boot message on or off. Use nibitor to read the VGA BIOS, toggle one check box, save the modified BIOS, then use nvflash to save the modified BIOS to the card.

How to know if my card is one where it is easy to turn off the boot message then ? Yes, I did look up and found nibitor, which check box do I toggle ? Sure I will be able to save the BIOS, and I also have nvflash too

Sure, is it fine to keep 'Display Memory Size' checked and which Geforce 5200 256 MB AGP have no splash screen ?
