Hi to everyone in Vogons.Org.

I have bought one laptop which has Microsoft Windows Vista preinstalled but trouble with hard drive about S1 that I must click this "F1" key. I planned to using this laptop to run CAD/CAM programs and playing Flight Simulator X (FSX), and FSw98, in it while I am living in residental community, accommodation, for us who do not using drugs and such but having schizophrenia and related to it. With FSX, I thinking wish to build flight sim arcade one day in future if anything came. How do I recover the Vista configuration? Of course, I having tried secure start with key "F8".

I would say your much better to do a clean install.

Windows XP or Windows 7 may be a better option. Will depend on the hardware.

Vista isn't terrible as long as the hardware is fast enough (alot of Vista computers were not at the time)
But if a computer is powerful enough for Vista then typically it'll run Windows 7 well which had much better support.

If you want to keep the original install the below tool will probably help.
It'll allow you to re-enable the admin account and reset the password.
