1. Is it possible Everrest app made a mistake ? Thanks for answer. it show 64 bit 3.2 gb bandwith instead of 6.4gb. or a false advertising by Asus ?

I tried my best to find a 128bit bus geforce 4 440mx.

But the asus manual said its 128 bit, you can find it easily on google. Check the 2 pictures:

Its the one i bought:

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/176724648152

2. is this one a real 128 bit bus at 6.4gb bandwith:

Thanks for answers

Typically it takes 8 memory modules to equal 128bit. I do have a half-height Voodoo4500 that has denser (still TSOP style memory) that only needed 4 modules.

Quadro4 380xgl are 128bit and have 8.1GB/s

It depends on the chips. Normally you can read the chip model number and - if not immediately apparent - you can google the datasheet to find out. However this seems to be some weird noname/relabeled stuff. Still, given this is a 66p TSOP package, each chip is only going to be 16b wide; 32b would require a 86p TSOP; it takes 8 66p TSOP chips to equal 128b and this one only has four - so that's 64b wide.

Was 86p available back then or is that a new? The 4500 I was talking about is clearly a denser pinout.

This.
4 TSOP 66 chips = 4x16 bits = 64bits
Usually for 32bit memory chips BGA modules were used. So depending on the configuration, there can be 128bit cards with 4 chips of BGA DDR1 memory. However these are very rare. There was one Radeon 9250 model that I've seen in the years.

Yep. V4-4500 used HY57V653220B:

hmm ok thanks, i will be more caution next time and check the datasheet of the memory chips.

About the other one one ebay, if you are sure let me know if its 128 bit bus. Thanks a lot again

edit: i did some research with your info, the other card on ebay is 64bit too. thanks

Can't make out the chip markings on seller's potatocam pics, but they look like QFP-100 chips which would be 32b wide. 2 of those gives 64b, 4 gives 128b. Sellers "256-bits" is obviously wrong (Gf4MX doesn't support it). So question is: what's on the back of the card?

I have a deal with the seller for any one of these two, are they both 128 bit ? i think yes. Thanks for answer guys

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/133845535775

if both are good, let me know the best one you think. the red one is MSI, the other one i dont know the brand. Thanks

edit: asus is sold already. my two ebay url are still available, i saw your answer that msi should be 128 bit. check the aopen thanks. tell me the best one if both are 128 bit. i asked him a picture of the back

Neither of those two show the back. So just as with the previous card: the chips are 32b wide, if it's just the two on the front, they're 64b cards, if there are two more on the back they are 128b cards.

Now, the pic of the MSI is good enough to read the chip: HY5DU283222Q-5. That's a 4Mx32 chip, so 128Mb total. To get 64MB with 128Mb, you need 4 chips. So *if* the 64MB claim is correct, that is indeed a 128b card. However I take any claims made by eBay sellers with a very big pinch of salt, so I'd want to see the back of the card before any hard statements. It could just as easily be a 32MB 64b card.

I can't read the chip marking on the second card, Samsung something 32 something - so not sure there. Again, better pics needed to be sure.

Both are 128bit, seller just added the back photo for Aopen/palit card. msi has DDR 400 ram chips, Aopen has DDR 500.

ok thanks a lot, i asked the seller if he can send me the aopen instead. the deal he offered me was the same price for both anyway. He has not already shipped he should ship me the aopen. But i will still happy with the MSI one. Thanks a lot guys. Thabks a lot Karbist for your answer and help, without you i would not have seen that the seller added the picture of the back of the Aopen 😉
