VOGONS

I'm running the old Titanium Everquest client connecting to Project1999 servers. After having several graphics freezes I downloaded dgVoodoo and copied the x86 dlls into the application diorectory as instructed.

I managed to get it running in a borderless window (I use SmartContextWindow) by turning ON "DisableAltEnterToToggleScreenMode". Maybe that should be put in the tooltip.

The problem is that text, in particular, is now noticeably blurry. If I disable the dgvoodo dlls and pass through to native DX then everything is sharp again. I've set the resolution in the .conf to the resolution I run the game at (same as specified in eqclient.ini), and I've disabled anitalising and dithering, but the text is still blurred. Is there anything else I should try? If this fixes the random freezes then I'll have to keep using it, but would really like to get sharp text back.

Ok, found a workaround. I downloaded nvidiaProfileInspector and turned antialiasing off in the Everquest profile. Text is now clear again.

It looks like the antialiasing setting in dgVoodoo dooesn't actually have any effect.

if you set aa globally, application msaa will be ignored.
