Hi all,
I have recently installed Boom to play the Sigil WADs by John living god Romero himself. I am playing Boom under Dosbox on a Fedora 42 system (Google Chromebook converted to native Linux).

For some reasons when playing Boom the left and right audio channels are swapped. The weird thing is that in Boom setup (asetup.exe), testing the left and right channels individually works just fine. I am using my Dosbox setup for other games and never had that problem before.

Any idea?

You know what, I just ran Freedoom Phase 1 in BOOM with the music turned off, and I think it's a bug in the port. I definitely hear sounds coming from the opposite side of where the actual threat is.

Maybe try using MBF 2.04 instead.

Fortunately with Dosbox-staging there is an easy workaround, simply run the command: "mixer sb reverse" and the channel will be swapped. To undo the command is "mixer sb stereo".
