I decided to fire up LoK B1 CD version on my K6-III+ 600 129mb RAM MS-DOS 7.10 machine. The title screen and intro plays with the woman narrating the backstory about Malcom. Then the game crashes hard with this:

*** Himem.sys Error (A7) *** Run setup and remove XMS and HMA usage.

Memory allocation error
Cannot load Command, system halted

I ran set up and while there is a line about using extended memory: yes before saving the configuration, I do not see an option to say no. I have also tried multiple changes in my config.sys, and the crash ALWAYS occurs. This game has worked on every 90s era PC I have thrown at it, except for this one. I also cannot seem to find anyone else on Earth with this same issue.

Any ideas?

EDIT: I tried swapping RAM sticks. Same issue. The smallest I can find are 128mb sticks. I have no idea where my 32s and 64s are.
