HI all,
I recently built myself an XT-IDE rev 4 board and did a couple of benchmarks on my Asus P55T2P4 P233MMX motherboard (yes it has onboard IDE which I disabled for testing this 8bit ISA card - stand alone) and "only" got about 370KB/S write speed using CheckIT and Coretest and benchmarks programs. I have currently the XUB R629 firmware flashed and set to performance mode as suggested and did testing with generic 16GB CF card with an IDE to CF adapter. This CF card BTW delivers around 9MB/s write speed when directly connected to the integrated IDE controller (vs the 16MB of my Sandisk Extreme 8GB CF). Even if it's an 8bit card, 370KB/s seems extremely slow to me (was expecting around 1MB/s or just under considering the slightly overclocked bus). If this is expected with this setup then OK - just checking to see if there might be something I can do to improve the performance (apart from overlocking the ISA bus speed - wait states in the BIOS are already 1/1). Thanks for any heads up!
