Hello. The WingMan Extreme Digital software doesn't work under Windows XP. The system can detect and calibrate the joystick, but the software doesn't detect it. The strange thing is that everything works perfectly under Windows ME. Does anyone have any ideas what's wrong with Windows XP? I've tried three versions of Logitech Gaming Software: 4.50SE and 4.20, and it doesn't detect it. The joystick has a game port connector. I even changed the sound card to another one, I have two Sound Blaster LIVE! CT 4760 and still nothing.

Fwiw, Logitech Software v5.00's readme explicitly lists a bunch of gameport devices, including yours, as "supported under Win98/ME only". (The USB version would've still worked.) I don't have 4.20 or .50 on hand - do they say anything about it either way?

Software 4.20
"1.4 WIN2000/WINXP SUPPORTED DEVICES

The WingMan software for Win2000/WinXP only supports USB products. See section 1.3.1
for the complete list of supported devices. Gameport and serial port
connections are not supported. The gameport devices should be used with
operating system supplied drivers. "

Yes, you're right, there's no Gameport support in Windows XP. I don't think there's any software that supports it, so you'll need to switch to USB.
