Hi. I am guessing it's not possible, but thought I would ask in case anyone has any ideas.

I have this game:

The attachment 20251114_062633.jpg is no longer available

Trying to run it on this system:

Pentium MMX 166Mhz @100Mhz (50mhz x 2)
8mb EDO RAM
ISA Tseng ET4000AX
Ms DOS 6.22
Mouse driver only (no expanded/extended memory). No CD drivers etc.
All Pentium MMX features disabled by setmul (caches, branch prediction etc)

When I start the game, it looks look its scanning the whole floppy disk (copy protection maybe?) Then the PC simply reboots.

I am able to copy all files off the disk to the HDD, so I think the disk is reading fine.

Any ideas? I am kinda guessing that this game probably will only work on an 8088 processor. I do have a pocket 8086 laptop, but that has no floppy drive.

Hi, Mobygames.com says it's a booter game.
Maybe the game has to be booted from Disk A?

Thanks Jo22! You were right. I guess I should have read the manual! The game starts now. Though the speech through PC speaker is too fast, and the game seems temperamental with reading key presses.

Hopefully this game will become playable when/if I make a ThrottleBlaster to slow this Pentium MMX down to 5hmz.
