Anyone familiar with Voodoo2 cards showing wrong colors when in SLI mode? I'm trying out Voodoo2 12MB cards in SLI, and the output colors have a green tint at 640x480 or 800x600 resolutions, but have a magenta tint at 1024x768 resolution. Individually both cards work ok without any color distortion, the problem only appears in SLI mode.

I suspect this is caused somewhere in the analog output path, because in 3DMark99 image quality tests, the screenshots look exactly like they're supposed to, but on my monitor the colors have a green or magenta tint. I attached some photos of what the colors look like in Blood2.

System Specs:
2x STB Voodoo2 12MB cards, in SLI mode
Diamond S3 Virge
Abit BX6 slot-1 board
Pentium 3 450mhz
128MB RAM
Windows 98 SE
DirectX 7.0
3dfx drivers 3.02.02
LG 24" 1080p monitor with analog VGA input.

Seems like it needs some registry variables adjustments. It's not just tint, but gamma is also changed, see how the textures lost some gradients.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

I almost think i see a color ramp overflow in the brighter grays in the walls on the SLI shots

Update:
After eliminating most other possibilities, ChatGPT suggested that the most likely culprit was SLI connection between the two cards. The cable itself was new, so I gave both cards a cleaning with isopropyl alcohol, especially the SLI connectors on each card, and that fixed the problem. Now SLI works as expected, with no color distortion.
