Set the jumpers according to P24D.

Set the L1 cache as WB in bios.

Chkcpu reports intel dx2 wb enhanced cpu, hwinfo reports as wb enhanced cpu. It is wb cpu, P24D.

But chkcpu reports l1 cache as configured write-thorough.

What is the problem? cleared the cmos and set everything again with amibios but didnt change.

Bios reports it as 80486dx2-66S.

Hi fsinan,

This thread should give you all the answers you need:
PC Chips M912 / DX4-100 and Write-Back L1 Cache

Although this thread talks about the DX4WB, it also applies to your P24D (486DX2WB). Only the multiplier jumper should be at x2 .
Also check the CPU for the required 3.3V or 5V Vcore and set the jumpers accordingly.

Cheers, Jan
