Hi all,

I've searched and failed to find any details about this motherboard. I've come across one that uses the same chipset and only has 2 VLB slots, but the layout is totally different.

The silkscreening is good so I don't actually need the manual, but I'd love to have a scan / copy regardless. First though of course I need to know the brand and model number, so if anyone has any ideas then it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Looks like a clone of this one. I don't know why, but these 486 boards with Contaq chipsets always have multiple clones...

Well done thankyou, that looks to be it. There must have been some advantage to producing these unbranded clones, perhaps it made the cloner less likely to be sued 😋

Mine is a nicely made board - nice thick PCB anyway. That RetroWeb article is the only mention of the CQ30B that I can find, but I'll keep my eyes peeled for a manual anyway.

Thanks again.

In the unlikely event that someone finds this thread in the future, here's a better quality photo of my clone board and a dump of the BIOS from it:

BIOS dump says Vendor ID=001391 (Aten International Co.Ltd.), but again it can be clone of Aten
