This is my first time building a PC, I got an ECS
GeForce 6100PM-M2 V3.0 off Vinted for my motherboard and I've been looking at Sound Blasters from the 2004-2007 period. I don't know what to do for graphics cards if I have to do anything. I don't see why the storage should be period accurate so I think I'd like an SD slot alongside a big HDD. I don't know how to calculate the requirements for the fan and power.

You want an SSD, not an SD card, unless you like buying SD cards all the time.

What are the specs of all the hardware you have so far?

CPU? CEX have ONE Athlon 64 X2 AM2 for 50p, Sound, I'd use the realtek unless you insist on the SB experience (EAX etc), SB Live or Audigy in PCI (not PCIE as I wouldn't bank on being able to use the x1 slot with a GPU).
GPU, masses of choice, though the power budget for some could be painful, 560Ti for a tenner, GTX 760 for 15, or if you want to rein in the power budget, the GTX 750 Ti for £25 is a solid choice or the 750 non-Ti for £20
