So I have this motherboard and it has a 6-pin power connector. It came with the power connector that was cut off a PSU. today I tried connecting it to a bench power supply and it turns on but does not post. I noticed that there are only 3 yellow cables and 2 black wires coming out of the power connector. I am wondering if it is missing wires to make it fully turn on? I tried several googles searches and only can find either these boards for sale or the manual which is just a high end overview of the board and the computer it came in. I am unable to find anything regarding the power. Please see the attached photos of the board, the label on the board and the power connector.

The molex may provide additional 12V and 5V

Board is from an ECS / PC CHIPS BookPC system...watch this video for more info - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSMlwYgU3Ro

The 4-pin molex is for 'power out' to system drives / devices like this...

Thanks for the reply.

Would you happen to know where I can find a 6-pin to ATX PSU converter?

In the linked video, looks like they used a molex to 6 Pin PCI-E graphic card adapter cable ( something like this https://www.aliexpress.com/p/tesla-landing/in … SmartRedirect=n ) patched into 20 to 24 pin ATX adapter cable to provide power from a standard ATX supply.

Normally these BookPC systems shipped with a PC100 power supply ( like this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283914213798 ) which shows the wiring details the YT poster has used as the basis for the patched cable.

Bit more info on the board itself can be found at https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/pcchips-bki810-v1.6a
