I received an old notebook - Acer TravelMate 243C. Unfortunately, the notebook does not boot. Therefore, I am looking for someone who has experience with this HW. I found out from various experiments that the problem is the motherboard. It behaves like this when booting:
1) If I insert the CPU into the socket, connect the notebook, the HDD indicator light comes on, but the notebook does nothing, the fan does not spin, and the BIOS does not start either
2) If the CPU is not in the socket, the fan spins and the notebook tries to start - it tries 3 starts in total, but then it starts

The CPU is fine, as are the other components - RAM, CMOS battery, MODEM card.. The problem must be somewhere on the motherboard. I also managed to download the motherboard wiring diagram.
