I have problem with configuration of BVC3A (BIOS v1.😎 with ATi Rage XL 8MB on Win98se. Tried with DirectX 7 and 8.1, VIA AGP drivers 4.43 , 5.07, Hyperion 5.24a (not entire 4in1 installation). ATi drivers 4.12.2647 for win98 and 4.13.1.2655.
The problem is about 3D programs and games. For instance of 3Dmark99max demo it hangs almost immediately at the beginning when second logo shows. Every time in same moment.

I know that the chipset is weird one. ATi card is fully functional and tested on another board with Intel i440LX. The VIA mainboard also works fine tested with GeForce2 MX200.

Were you able to run such hardware configuration, the mainboard with such chipset and the graphics card of Rage XL ?

The less VIA Drivers you install the better, i usually install agp chipset drivers and sometimes ide or use win98 integrated dma. I have been using bit older or similar old amd via mvp3 chipset.

Skip the 4in1 and try only agp driver for the beginning and it can be some agp/ide issue, i at least had and it all was about drivers.
