Hi.
I have a very old 486 pc where the mechanical HDD is still working and came with the original brand applications and windows 3.1
all original factory software.

1) I disconnected the mechanical hard drive
2) installed a sintechi SD to ide adapter with an 8GB sd card
3) installed Ontrack disk manager
4) installed dos 6.22
5) installed norton commander and ghost6
all is working perfectly with the sd card.

now i need to find a way to make a ghost image of the original mechanical hard drive, so i can restore it on the sintechi sd card partition#1.

if i use an IDE cable and connect original mechanical hdd as slave, would that work ? or Ontrack will reject it when the sd card hard drive boots? or when ontrack starts the sd card hard drive can break the mbr of the original mechanical hard drive?
