Hello,

I'm not sure how many people here are running Vista (or XP) on an SSD, but I'm seeing an error. I know Vista doesn't include native TRIM support, though I found a utility that provides similar functionality (Adata SSD Toolbox).

When I run CHKDSK it reports: "The Volume Bitmap is incorrect." My understanding is that this means Windows doesn't correctly know which blocks are in use and which are free. Is this expected when running an OS without TRIM support? Should I switch back to a mechanical hard drive, or can I safely keep using the SSD and ignore the error?

Thanks — I appreciate any help.
