Hi,
I would like to setup PCem to run a virtual Windows XP 32-bit machine for playing old school games. I am not sure about what specs I should go for and where I should obtain files.

My modern-day Windows 11 machine uses X570 AORUS MASTER, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, with AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics. It seems that AMD graphics, along with Windows 11, has difficulty running old school games.

I wish to play games such as: Empires: Dawn of the Modern World (2003), America: No Peace Beyond the Line (2001), and No Man's Land: Fight for Your Rights! (2003). I have tried GOG.com games, PCGamingWiki, YouTube tutorials, and the internet, but have been unable to get such old school games running on my current Windows 11 machine.

I need guidance on setting up a descent Windows XP machine in PCem and I need guidance where I should obtain necessarily files from.

Kind regards,
Brad.

PCem can barely run Empire Earth, so I don't think the spiritual sequel Empires is happening. Bear in mind the best PCem can emulate is a P2/K6 Voodoo3 PCI system which puts it around 2001 at best for compatibility (for the most part), 2003 games are going to be very hit or miss with how they use DirectX 9 as Voodoo3 was very obsolete by that point - and then there's the whole disc drm situation.

A*M*E*R*I*C*A could probably run though. :x
