At the very least I will have spare parts for my other Micron computers. I have Microns with the Hx, Lx, Tx, and Bx chipsets.

Hey if anyone is interested in buying a Micron Dual Pentium Pro, there is one on eBay right now for $400. I would get it but if I get one more Micron computer, I will officially be a hoarder! I had one back in 2003 and maxed it out. This one needs a second voltage regulator if you want both processors. I'm shocked they are not asking $1200 for it, that seems to be a thing in recent years.

Hello, if anyone has some advice, I am all ears. I just got the computer, and I have never seen anything like this before. The first thing I did was open the case and try and see what kind of motherboard this system has. There is no label I can find. It boots just fine and is running Windows 95 OSR2. So, I thought I would just put HWiNfo32 on it and let it tell me all the info. I plugged in my USB storage with HWiNFO32 on it and the computer did not see it. I went into the bios and enabled the USB, and it still did not see the USB drive. I then burnt a CD with HWiNFO32 and it sees the program, however when I try to run it I get the error message " The WININET.DLL file is linked to missing export SHLWAPI.DLL: wnsprintfW. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Wow, almost had success! I put in a Hiren's BootCD 7.0 and booted up with it and there it was, HWiNFO on the menu of system info tools. I ran it and it said not enough memory. I guess all I need to do is add another stick of ram, it only came with 32Mb.

Beware of eBay! The description said Model = Millennia MMe Tuscon-166M-MT KPV-TC430HX-ATX. It did not come with Intel TC430HX (Tucson), motherboard. It came with a MSI ALADDIN 5 motherboard with a ALi M1541 chipset. It does function and I will store it as it is one of those computers I never saw.

I got fooled because the Intel TC430HX (Tucson) does support the AMD K2 300, and I should have known because the motherboard was gold or yellow and not green. Lesson learned. I will keep it as a novelty. I am amazed that it functions. I ran system information programs from the Hiren's BootCD v. 7 and everything works. Well except the USB, for now. That's why I have always stayed with an Intel chipset, I never had any of these anomalies with my systems. I remember computer games that had a special executable file for AMD processors, like Neverwinter Nights 2. I also should have caught the badges on the case, it does say Intel MMX.
I do however love the case! This will be my third one like it. Back in the early 2000's I ordered a Micron dual Pentium Pro System that came with this same case, so nostalgia is strong here. I had so much fun at the time, I maxed the system out. It had a Micronics motherboard with the FX chipset. It only held 512Mb of ram. I put in another voltage regulator and got two Pentium Pro 200's with 1Mb and installed it all. I installed Windows 2000 and Microsoft office on it. I just thought it was the coolest thing. Now that I have 5 Micron systems, I don't need to get a PPro 200. There are 2 on eBay right now which is rare.

I have one with the Tucson in it. Doesn't seem like it would support a K6-300 though, that was the die shrunk one with lower vcore. The K6-266 with the 3.2 vcore are known to survive at 3.3.

My Tucson has a Pentium 233 in it; I am not going to add anything. The only thing that is annoying is no music in shadow warrior. I used to play it all the time on a Pentium 100 with music, I must have had the shareware version. It is wild to me that the HX, TX, LX, and BX motherboards have onboard sound.

Grr! Why does money have to be so tight right now? I really want to add a dual Pentium Pro Workstation to my collection to run NT 3.51, and they seem to be getting harder to find.

I thought about maxing this system out with new ram and a new processor, but after watching Phils video (https://www.philscomputerlab.com/k6-2-500.html), I don't see the point since I have a Micron LX with a PII-333 and a Micron BX with a PIII-450. The only advantage I can see with this system is you can turn the cache off and it becomes a 386. I could play wing commander like a BOSS! I have maxed out the ram and installed Noctua fans on my TX-233mmx system and I think the next project should be doing the same to my HX-200 system. That CPU runs hot! It has the cool blue micron heat sink on it but with its age I am leery of heat. Putting an SSD in that guy was a pill until I found just the right IDE to Sata card. I had windows 95 to thank for that. Windows 98 seems to install on anything. What would you guys do?
