Hi there
I'm currently playing Černaja Metka (Traqué - 2008) ( French version of game) on a CRT monitor at 1024x768 @ 85Hz.
To get the game running properly, I'm using dgVoodoo2 with 8x MSAA and 16x Anisotropic Filtering forced through the control panel. While the geometry edges of the objects look perfectly sharp and clear, I have a severe issue with Specular Aliasing / Shimmering.
Whenever the character moves or even breathes (idle animation), the light reflections/specular highlights on object edges jitter and move up and down horizontally. It creates a very distracting shimmering effect.
Since MSAA only handles geometry and I am playing at a lower CRT resolution, standard anti-aliasing isn't fixing these specular artifacts.
Is there any way to suppress or fix this specific specular shimmering?
