I have a P2135 that prints gibberish whether I'm using a driver or I'm printing straight to LPT1 in dos. Same issue with multiple systems. Prints fine when doing the self test or system configuration. Also the gibberish is not the same each time.

Suggestions?

Try setting the parallel port mode to SPP. Install the print driver in DOS as well.
