Hello, everyone.
Has anyone tried a Strange God Voodoo5 6000?
I understand it is a reverse-engineered V5 6000, which should offer similar performance without the collector value of a “real” V5 6000.
I’m curious to hear what your experiences with it have been, if any.
I had one in a previous build and thought it was great. No issues. Ran just like a legit Voodoo card. Only issue is finding a case big enough for it.
How come you’re no longer using it?
What games did you play with it? I’m really curious what your experience was. Did you try FSAA 8X? 😁

I had to free up some funds so it was on the chopping block. I'm bummed about it. I have a V5 5500 which does the job I need now, but if I went back in time and saved the 6000, I'd use that. I never tried FSAA 8X.

AGP or PCI? I wanted the PCI but I see that they recommended 66hz PCI.

I exchanged a few e-mails with Anthony and, among other things, he told me:
“ the card works in a 33mhz pci slot just fine. if you're planning to use it with glide games then there's no benefit from a 66mhz bus.”

That's good to know. I think I like the idea of a 5500/6000 more than I actually want one, not really sure what I would run on one. It seems that he has restocked many cards, I was eyeing was the 3500 PCI-E. Cheap enough to just throw in my collection and use on a different project.
