Hey all!

Got myself a pre-built retro PC and am having issues displaying anything on screen.

It's got PCPartner 815EPBAS3-T217CA aka Clayton CVAT217 motherboard with Pentium Tualatin 1000Mhz, 256MB ram and GeForce4 MX 440 64MB AGP.

So the PC loads fine and the seller has successfully tested it against Hanns.G HQ191 monitor by VGA. It loads on my side but I get no signal at all on my Dell U2412M or my Dell P2312H Professional via VGA both. Not even POST screen, BIOS, nothing. Just no signal. Okay, I thought. Surely my Retrotink 4K will be able to handle this signal. So I plug the VGA from 440MX to it and nothing... also no signal.

Was I just naive very naive thinking that VGA on one side and VGA on the other would be enough? I am waiting for FX 5200 to arrive to test with DVI and also waiting for HP LP2065 to arrive. Maybe the GPU went bust during delivery but it feels hot on touch when working so I guess at least part of it is working. The monitors and gpu are around 10 years apart but I hoped at least Tink 4K would be able to understand the signal.

I will report back after more tests but wondered if anyone else experienced such incompatibilities and how you solved them. I am not going back to CRT for various reasons, so this is not an option. Thanks all in advance!
