These are some DOS (.COM) files I created to test the L/R channels of my sound cards, and I wanted to share them here.

Disclaimer: These files are provided "as-is", so use them at your own risk. I’m not responsible for any damage or unexpected behavior that may result from using them.

These files are also useful for testing the current volume levels, as they don't change any of the sound card's volume settings, as most games do.

This program tests the PCM (or wave) audio of the sound card. It uses the classic Sound Blaster settings: port 220, IRQ 5, and DMA 1, but you can change those with command-line switches.
It can also test Windows Sound System (WSS) audio. (Run PCMPLAY WSS) For help, run PCMPLAY ?

This one may be a bit controversial, as some cards will swap the L/R channels. For help, run FMLR ?
It's based on the Yamaha OPL3. I tested it with my SB Pro and SB16, and it plays the L/R channels correctly on both.
The default port is 388, but if it plays in mono, as it does on my SB Pro, change the port to 220 (run FMLR P:220). That will make it play correctly in stereo.
