I was just browsing eBay to see what X-Fi titanium cards are out there for sale at the moment, and holy crap why are they so pricey now?? I know the "retro tax" is a thing, but it's never really hit sound cards unless they're from the DOS days. The last couple of X-Fi titanium champion cards I got (a few years ago) were in the $30-$60 range and they were all over eBay for those prices. Now I'm seeing an average of about $150 for one of those, the bare card, and boxed versions being listed for much more. Is that real? Did somebody release a YouTube video praising them for retro builds or something?

The nostalgia wave is moving into the 2000s, you always see it first on the highest models as people gravitate towards "that which I wanted but could never afford"

The cheapest X-Fi titanium on there right now is $75 and it's not working/for parts. The rest of them are north of $100. No idea where you are seeing them for $40.

Not the SB0880? I see a brand new one for $118 and bare cards for basically $50 after shipping. Maybe the region limits what listings they show?

Ebay item numbers: 147534792610 (Bare card $46)
820059160762 (Bare card $50)
820076881728 (Brand New $118)

I'd love for these to be that high so I can make some money.

P.S. What’s more, the PCI-E card – there are drivers for it on Windows 11 and… oh my goodness, RAM.
Was anyone hoping for a different pricing structure now?

So interestingly now that you post this and I searched those exact item numbers, now I'm seeing a lot more listings for that card. I don't know what the crap has been happening but I swear when I searched earlier today only like 7 listings showed up, and they were all ridiculously priced. Maybe I was dreaming or I'm slipping into an alternate reality. I'll just see myself out.
