Greetings
I've seen someone selling these BNIB on ebay here in the UK:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/820069334464
The listing says more than 10 available! The guy is also selling a similar motherboard from Biostar. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/820071041743 which seems to be KT400 based.
I previously had an A7V333 board with a barton 3000+ and 512Mb DDR333 for fast win98 gaming - but the motherboard is faulty; it fails to detect certain PCI cards and several of the on-board devices, I assume the southbridge (VT8233A) is defective. Apart from the detection issue, it works flawlessly. At the moment I'm running a KT133A and athlon 2000+ in this machine instead, which works fine, but I know there's a lot more performance available from the FX5900XT: When I had it in the A7V333, I was getting about double the 3dmark score in 3dmark99.
Anyone had any experience with the KT333CF chipset? - from what I've read, it is a downgraded KT400; AGP 4x instead of 8x - which i don't think will matter with my GPU, and I don't plan on using any 3.3V AGP cards. What about southbridge reliability?
I would perhaps get the biostar board instead, but the shuttle board has a 12v connector on the board which gives me more options with PSUs if my current one ever gives me any trouble.
Doesn't look like there's been much activity on here from users having this motherboard (nothing comes up when I search for it)
If nothing else, I will buy one and report my own findings once I have some 😁
