It goes like this:

It happens while trying to run said game at a higher resolution than default (1024x768) and applying the settings afterwards. (Lower resolutions appear to work just fine. #Weird)
*Tested with the v1.2 Update and corresponding Widescreen Fix applied under Windows XP SP2/3 compatibility with administrative privileges.
*Everything set to Ultra quality. Even them Sound settings. (Have yet to test all other presets though.)
*Happened with the USA-NTSC distribution of said game. (All extant releases could also be affected though.)
*Crashes back into the desktop with a rather unrevealing message. (See the screenshot for details.)

Are there any solutions or fixes available? #PleaseHelp
