Hi! A long time ago, I played with the notion of creating my own operating system for 486/Pentium PCs targeted toward gaming and to run from floppies. It would be DOS-like but have drivers for VGA and sound among other things. It would also support its own versions of EMS and XMS. It would support compression. SGOS is short for Simple Game Operating System, and a complex form would run in 32-bit Protected Mode. Should I create these? How can I get them emulated on modern systems?
