Hello All,
Recently I have been trying to setup a little virtual network using 86box on my linux machine but I keep running into strange issues. I setup one of the VM's to run WINNT4 as a server using DHCP and setting it as a domain controller. Then I created both a windows 98 and a windows NT workstation as other VM's all connected to the virtual switch. However for some reason they don't ever get IP addresses from the NT server? If I manually specify the IP address they can ping each other but if i setup DHCP server on the NT Server and tell windows on one of the other hosts to get an IP they never do. They also wont talk to each other to log into the domain even if I setup manual IP addresses....
Not sure if its some configuration problem or something else but I did do this successfully using VMware Workstation. Not sure if its some odd problem with the Switch setting in 86box that does not pass some packets correctly.
Has anyone else had any luck doing this sort of thing using this emulator?
