I can't seem to get it running correctly with VDMSound. I'm using Win Xp and trying to get the sound to work, but it doesn't

I just ran Day Of the Tentacle with VDMS and it worked fine. I could hear the speech and other sound affects with no prob. I didn't have to do anything special at all to make it work.
